Ghanaian reggae musician, Rocky Dawuni has finally had his years of hard work in the music entertainment pay off as he has earned himself a grammy nomination which will have him competing with some of the very best from around the world.
The Ghanaian reggae musician has been nominated for the Best Global Album category for the good works of his Voice of BunBon, Volume 1 album. His nomination was announced during the official nomination ceremony by the Recording Academy on Tuesday, November 23, 2021.
The competition for that category will be stiff as he will be going against the likes of Daniel Ho & Friends, Angelique Kidjo, Femi Kuti and Wizkid.
Rocky Dawuni has sinced responded to the nomination by thanking all those who contributed into the making of the album. “Yea my people we did it again. This is the second time that the USA-based Ghanaian reggae musician has earn a Grammy nomination with his 2015-released Branches of the Same Tree album, winning him a nomination at the 2016 Grammys for Best Reggae Album.
