Stonebwoy Bags 3 Grammy Nominations

Ghanaian dancehall musician, Stonebwoy has bagged for himself three Grammy nominations. The nominees were unveiled yesterday, November 23 ahead of the official Grammy ceremony set to take place on January 31, 2021.

Stonebwoy has been nominated for his efforts as a featured artist on three albums that were released in the year under review for  “containing at least 51% playing time of new reggae recordings,” according to the Recording Academy.

The albums each earned a nomination for ‘Best Reggae Album’. The are Etana’s album “pamoja” “Live N Livin” by Sean Paul, and “Royal” by Jesse Royal

Stonebwoy featured on track 06 “pamoja” which boast of 16 tracks and was released on June June 25. He also made an appearance on Seal Paul’s “Live N Livin. The last album he made a feature in which also earned a nomination in the Grammys is Jesse Royal’s album “Royal”

This three nomination ensures the Ghanaian dancehall/reggae musician boast of a total of four Grammy nominations.

Stonebwoy has a rich history with the Grammys and has previously been named on the GRAMMYs Recording Academy Class of 2021 in June 2021. “This invitation reflects the Recording Academy’s commitment to excellence and further growing its robust membership body. The invitations also reaffirm the Recording Academy’s recognition of the important contributions of music people to influence progressive changes within the music industry,” a statement by GRAMMYs said
