I Made Enough Money From My ‘Faithful’ Song To Build Two Houses – Okyeame Kwame

The popular rhetoric amongst artiste in the country is that music does not pay and that we should not be swoon in by the luxurious lifestyle they display as according to them it is all audio money. Ghanaian music legend, Okyeame Kwame has however come to cast a looming shadow over their rhetoric while talking about his song titled, faithful.

According to the man born Kwame Nsiah Apau, but bearing the stage name Okyeame Kwame, his hit song, ‘faithful’ was so successful that he could have built two houses with the earnings.

Speaking about the song, the artiste revealed the release of the song did not only earn him good money but opened a lot of previously closed doors. Adding that it was the money he made from the song that he used to finance his master’s degree programme and that of his wife’s.

He made these revelations in an interview on Accra based Angel TV, adding that his ‘faithful’ earned him a lot of endorsement deals and ensured that had a performance to do almost every weekend

Coca-Cola, UNICEF, MTN Icon, and World Bank are some of the brand deals he noted his song had earned him. Winner of Stars season 4, Bertha Bridget was featured on the 2010 song, which was produced by music producer, Appietus.
