Most successful English Premier League club, Manchester United has cast their eyes on Brighton and Hove Albion’s English born Ghanaian defender, Tariq Lamptey, with reports emerging that the 20 time league champions have tabled a bid for the right-back.
Tariq Lamptey has established himself as one of the Premier League’s best right-backs if not the best after signing for Brighton and Hove Albion in January 2020. He has proven himself very capable of coping with the pressure and high demands of playing in the English first division with very limited opportunities as he has had to battle with harmstring injuries.
The young English righb-back has attracted the attention of the biggest football country in the club ahead of the 2022 January transfer window but the Red Devils will have to rival another powerhouse in the form of London club, Arsenal who have also been taken in by Tariq’s stellar performances so far.
Tariq Lamptey was signed by Brighton and Hove Albion in January 2020 for the tune of 3.3 million pounds but it is reported the club will not listen to any offers less than 40 million pounds according to reports in England.
Incoming Manchester United interim coach, Ralf Ragnick is said to be a huge admirer of the young man and it is suspected that he will push for his signing come the January transfer window.
