Nana Akufo-Addo Named African Of The Year By Forbes Africa

President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo has been named the African of the year by Forbes Africa.

In tweet made by Forbes Africa read, “@NAkufoAddo, Ghana’s President, has repositioned the country in the global marketplace as one reliant on its own resources and strengths.

Nana Akufo-Addo’s Government has come under harsh criticism of late from Ghanaians by what is described as insensitivity by the Government in relation to the harsh economic hardship the people are faced with, with increased youth unemployment, drop in standard of living and an increase in cost of living coupled with high Government borrowing which is contrary to Forbes Africa’s tweet, ‘Ghana’a President, has repositioned the country in the global marketplace as one reliant on its own resource and strengths’

It would be unfair to paint an all doom and gloom picture as Akufo-Addo has been able to ensure that his dream of implement a free second cycle education which was laughed at has been implemented successfully and gathering momentum. The President has also been able to over see the affairs of the nations at a time when the entire world had been battling with the COVID-19 pandemic

Whether he deserves the honour is not for as at standupgh.com to say but what we know for sure is that he is giving his best to the people of Ghana and for that matter should be appreciated and congratulated on his continental recognition.
