Ghanaian reggae and dancehall artiste, Samini, is preparing to take legal action against one of Ghana’s leading news portals, Ghanaweb, for misconstruing and misrepresenting comments he made concerning Stonebwoy, Kofi Kinaata, and Kaakie having to be forever grateful to him for the successes they are enjoying in their music careers as they would be no where without him.
Samini in a recent interview is on record to have said that no other big name in the music industry has done what he has done in the Ghana music entertainment industry when it comes spotting talent and giving the talent the stage to achieve greatness, citing Stonebwoy, Kofi Kinaata, and Kaakie as just a few names he is proud to have helped achieve in the music scene.
Unfortunately, his comments were misconstrued and misrepresented by Ghanaweb and there artiste expressed his disappointment as he believes his words were twisted by the news portal for their own benefit, adding that he is going to take legal action against them.
He took to tweeter to make his feelings known. He tweeted, “Dear @TheGhanaWeb I’m highly disappointed in you for this foolish caption. I said, “no A list artist has done what I have done when it comes to supporting the young ones and I can wait for anyone to show me an act like me” I’ll sue you for this caption. Prepare. Thanks.”
This is how Ghanaweb captioned the article on what Samini said in their reportage, “Stonebwoy, Kofi Kinaata and Kaakie owe their success in music to me – Samini”
