Ghana’s very own songbird, Gyakie has revealed how difficult it would be for her to ever forget anything said by her naysayers as she goes around taking screenshots of all the negativity said about her which she turns into her source of motivation.
Gyakie who is arguably the best female music act in the country in a guest appearance on TV3’s showbiz 360 with show host Giovanni Caleb revealed that despite her exploits in the industry, she still has to contend with naysayers adding that there are those who predict nothing will come of her career.
Revealing how she deals with the negativity, the songstress said, “I have seen a couple. Oh, I have receipts. I always keep them when I see somebody saying something bad about me”.
She continues that “there’s this thing that I have started doing. I take a screenshot, and I save it. Because you know there’s always something you would get to say in the future.”
She went on to reveal that she keeps all these screenshots to serve as a source of motivation to push her to do better, to be better, to prove to all her doubters that indeed she is capable and she has achieved all she set out to do.
“They make me want to do more. They make me want to do better. Do you understand? Because somebody is thinking you are that way, so there is always something you have to do to prove the person wrong,” she said.
