Brighton’s Tariq Lamptey Says No To Ghana

Ghana suffers yet another blow as English Premier League club, Brighton and Hove Albion’s right back, Tariq Lamptey has reported rejected the advances of the Ghana and the Ghana Football Association to represent the country in the National team at the African Cup of Nations Tournament to be held in January 2022 in Cameroon.

The Ghana Football Association has been pursuing the Premier League player for months now and still yet to win the player over as he has said no to playing for the Black Stars though he is eligible.

The most recent attempt to get the young right back to join the Black Stars at the African Cup of Nations has proofed a fool’s errand and this is not the first time Ghana is suffering a rejection from a player refusing to represent the country at the AFCON as Ajax midfielder Salisu Mohammed is also on record to have rejected the advances to play at the AFCON for the Black Stars.

Both players are yet to feature for any country with earlier rumours suggesting the Black Stars coach Milovan Rajevac would include their names in his provisional list for the AFCON.
