Jamaican dancehall icon, Beenie Man has opened up on the relationship he shares with colleague in the music industry, Stonebwoy, who also happens to be a dancehall musician himself.
Beenie Man, who was christened Anthony Moses Davis upon birth by his parents has revealed that he has known the Ghanaian way back in his teenage years and always though that Stonebwoy was a Jamaican like himself until he chanced upon him speaking his mother tongue (Ewe)
Beenie Man who arrived in Ghana yesterday has come to to support Stonebwoy in his BHIM concert this December and he took time of to make a guest appearance on Accra based Okay FM with show host Abeiku Santana where they talked extensively about the relationship that exist between Beenie Man and Stonebwoy
According to Beenie Man, he always thought that Stonebwoy was a Jamaican trapped in Ghana for reasons best known to him and only got to know of Stonebwoy’s true nationality when he heard him speak Ewe (A Ghanaian local language)
He went on to add his amazement at Stonebwoy’s deep knowledge in the dancehall genre, adding that he is amongst a few musicians who has complete knowledge of the genre and through that he knew Stonebwoy would achieve great things and he has not been wrong.
