Premier League giants Arsenal are consulting with the Ghana Football Association to see whether an agreement can be reached to extend the release date of their midfield dynamo, Thomas Partey, to the Black Stars for the African Cup of Nations.
It is reported that the Premier League club has suggested to the Ghana Football Association to release the player two days after the expected date of release.
Thomas Partey is expected to report to the Black Stars camp in preparation for the African Cup of Nations on Monday, December 27, 2021, a day before Arsenal clashes with Norwich in the Premier League
Arsenal are therefore requesting to have the midfielder available to them for their premier league game before then releasing him on December 29, to join up with the National team. An agreement is yet to be reached between the Ghana Football Association and the Premier League giants.
The midfield player is an important piece in the Arsenal midfield juggernaut and will therefore be a huge miss for the North London club who are battling it out for a place in the top four of the English Premier League.
