National Builders’ Corp (NABCO), a Nana Akufo-Addo policy meant to create temporary employment for the ever increasing an unemployed youth in the country has failed in its purpose
NABCO trainees are going into the Christmas holidays broke as they are yet to be paid for work done between from September and December, and the National Builders’ Corp Coordinator for the Upper East Region, Khan Issahaku Jambeidu has called on all trainees to exercise calm and greater patience.
Mr. Khan Issahaku Jambeidu commenting on the issues admitted that indeed the trainees are owed monies as far back as September and though he was not able to say whether they would receive what is owed them before the year comes to an end, he did assure everyone that whatever is owed them will surely be paid.
“As you know, we have a very unusual delay in the payment of stipends. We have not paid yet which is quite worrying for us. But we are always up to the task and we are working on it,” he explained.
