Ghanaian ace comedian DKB has issued a word of caution to self acclaimed dancehall king, Shatta Wale, who has decided to take on the entire Nigeria in a war of words.
There have been heated exchanges between the Shatta movement fans in their bid to defend their ‘king’ against the wrath of Nigerians, who were angered by comments made by Shatta Wale during a stage performance at the just ended freedomwave concert.
His comments were on the line of collaboration, indicating that he does not need any Nigerian to make it as all he has ever needed were his loyal fans, putting it mildly. The country has been left divided in their defence of Shatta Wale with a section of Ghana supporting him, claiming that he only spoke the truth while others believe that Ghanaian musicians are just not good enough so will forever need Nigerian artistes to break into the foreign market.
Comedian, DKB, watching proceedings from afar lest he catch a stray bullet has cautioned Shatta Wale to weary of the comments he makes as his words may come back to haunt him sooner rather than later.
“Fighting Naija U must be very careful cos there are many dumb Ghanaians who want to turn a foreigner against U. In my fight against influx of Naija comedy, I made it clear, I loved my Naija comic friends but Ghana needed it’s own. Still, Ghanains made some Nigerians hate me.“
