Former President, John Mahama has advised Ghanaians on getting themselves vaccinated against coronavirus.
The pandemic for the past week has been threatening a fourth wave especially with the new Omicron variant, with coronavirus numbers continuously on the rise.
Worried about how things are managed and with the rise of coronavirus cases, the former president took to his facebook account to call on all Ghanaians who have not vaccinated to do so to ensure their safety and the safety of others.
“The New Year season is here! Let’s be more conscious of our health as we pray for health workers because of the more transmissible omicron variant.
“Let’s also observe the COVID protocols. Observe social distancing, wash your hands as frequently as possible, avoid handshakes, use hand sanitizers and wear a mask.
“And please GET VACCINATED if you haven’t done so yet. If you have, go for your second dose,” Mahama pleads in his Facebook post.
He also noted that we should not attribute coughing and cold to the harmattan and sit at home with the symptoms waiting for it to go but rather seek medical assistance and get tested for Covid-19
