Premier League giants, Arsenal are looking to offload club forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has not made an appearance for the club since December 6 after having the club captaincy taken from him.
Aubameyang has joined up with Gabon ahead of the National team’s participation in the African Cup of Nations and should help take his mind off his woes at Arsenal after being sidelined by the club after having since armband stripped off him last month after a disciplinary issue.
Arsenal Spaniard coach Mikel Arteta has not selected the Gabonese in his match day squad for their last six games and from all possible indications, Aubameyang’s football career as an Arsenal player is all but over.
Arsenal does not appear to miss his presence of the pitch since they have won five and lost once in the last six matches the former club captain has not featured in.
The Gabonese is the club’s highest earner on a contract that pays him £350,000 per week and with 18 months left on his contract, Arsenal are looking to cut their losses with the striker.
