Hearts of Oak midfielder Emmanuel Nettey has quit the club and has gone on to sign for Iraqi division 1 side Duhok SC.
It is reported that the midfielder refused to extend his contract with the defending champions of the Ghana Premier League, following the expiration of his contract and went on to sign for the Asian club as a free agent.
Nettey join Hearts of Oak from Inter Allies in 2019 and has been an instrumental player for the club in his three year stay, helping Samuel Boadu and his men to win the league and FA cup double last season, thus bringing a 12 year trophy drought to an end.
The 30-year old featured heavily for Accra Hearts of Oak at the start of the season and participating in their CAF Champions League and CAF Confederations Cup campaigns this term.
The midfielder will now be looking to help his new club earn promotion into the Iraqi Premier League after coming in in 7th on the division one league table last season.
