2022 Is The Year Of Grammys I’m Bringing It To The Motherland Watch me ! – Wendy Shay Announces

Hate her all you want but one thing we can all agree on is that Wendy Shay is one of the most optimistic musicians we have here in Ghana and her sheer believe in her musical ability is something worth emulating.

So we all know when Nigeria won its first ever Grammy award through Burna boy’s “twice as tall” album, yes, our artistes suffered the worst possible trolls one could ever imagine, with Sarkodie, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale’s name dragged in the mad for their inability to do so.

This year we are fortunate to have a representative amongst the nominees with Reggae musician securing his second ever nomination in the 64th Grammy awards scheduled for this year, being the only representative from Ghana. Other Ghanaian musicians to have ever earned nominations at the Grammys are Stonebwoy and Fuse ODG.

Wendy Shay who is yet to earned a nomination is upbeat about being the first artist to break Ghana’s duck and finally land our hands on the much coveted Grammy Awards.

She took to her twitter handle to speak her dream into reality, tweeting, “2022 is the year of Grammys I’m bringing it to the motherland Watch me!”

Wendy Shay was recently in the news for taking up the role of role model to upcoming female artistes in the music industry, educating them on what it takes to survive in a male dominated industry.
