Shatta Wale Is Entitled To His Opinion As Long Us It Does Not Affect Our Relationship – Jim Iyke

Nigerian bad boy actor, James Ikechukwu Esomugha, affectionately known as Jim Iyke as said that he is very okay with Shatta Wale having his own opinion of Nigerians in the music history as long as it does not come between him and Shatta Wale’s relationship as good friends.

The actor made this revelation during an interview on TV3’s Showbiz 360 with Giovanni Caleb, where he revealed that Shatta Wale has the right to have his own opinion about whatever but his only prayer is that it does not come in between their relationship as friends. Revealing on set that he and the dancehall musician are very good friends and he has come through for him on many occasions.

“Shatta actually supports everything I do, so I don’t know, I mean the man is entitled to his opinion as long as it doesn’t rob of my personal relationship with him”, he said.

Jim Iyke’s comments come in response to Shatta Wale’s outburst that Nigerian musicians do not do enough to promote Ghana music in their country, a statement which has caused so much controversy online leading to an ongoing feud between Shatta Wale and Nigerian Grammy Award winner, Burna boy.

But Jim Iyke has stated he is not going to get involved in the ongoing feud between the two industry as he believes he is not the one to make a judgement on who is right or wrong.

“It’s not in my place to determine what people say or how they react with, maybe his intention wasn’t bad, when he said it, it’s people’s reaction that determines, people react to things in a different way, you could say something bad and I would see a major good in it, I will just chalk it down, it could be your opinion and you are entitled to it”, said.

“The fact that I disagree with someone’s opinion does not mean I should dislike his personality”, he added.
