This Is 2022 Africa Cup Of Nations, Not Trial And Error – Sonnie Badu Blasts GFA For Black Stars Loss

The passion surround our National team football has waned over the years but not is to say we do no care about Black Stars anymore. One only had to observe social media after Ghana’s African Cup of Nations opening game to Morocco to see that the love affair between Ghanaians and the Black Stars is one that will never die.

That not withstanding the Black Stars always go beyond themselves to ensure that they continuously leave their biggest supporters (Ghanaians) crushed with their poor performances and their latest mission accomplished in that regard is their 1:0 loss they suffered to Morocco and it is not the loss that must be hurting Ghanaians that much but the manner in which the senior national team went on to lose it.

Ghanaians were not happy and gospel singer, Sonnie Badu shared in the misery of all Ghanaians but to chose to direct his anger at Ghana’s football governing body, the Ghana Football Association and not the players.

Taking to his Instagram page, Sonnie Badu addressed a post to GFA, questioning the reasoning that went into the selection of the National team for the AFCON as according to him it lacks experience and could do with a few more older faces.

HE wrote: “Dear GFA, I don’t know how many experienced players are in the camp to help these new ones settle. However, this is 2022 Africa Cup of Nations, not trial and error … The likes of @stephenappiahofficial @asamoah_gyan3 @laryea7official @john_paintsil_official should be in the dressing room motivating the young ones and why is RichardOfori not part of the goalkeepers?”

In other news, Sarkodie almost broke his television set out of pure frustration while watching the Black Stars lose 1:0 to Morocco and he like Sonnie Badu were not happy men after the match.
