It is already said everyone has a cross to bear, as the poor man thinks about where his next meal will be coming from, the rich lose sleep for fear they might sleep and wake up to find themselves poor and that is the cross Ghanaian Highlife and Afrobeat singer, Kuami Eugene has openly confessed to be bearing, admitting he is crumbling underneath the weight.
The multiple award winning artiste revealed in an interview with Amansan Krakye noted that since he became a celebrity it has come with people taking it upon themselves to advise him on how to manage his money
Revealing that he is constantly being reminded by those older than him and colleagues to make good use of his money lest he find himself back to where it all started some years back.
Kuami was frank in his submission, confessing that being a celebrity comes with a lot of pressure and the fear of going poor adds to an already pressured line of work.
He said, “It comes with a little pressure that is if you are a celebrity like you asked me. Because everyone wants to tell you what to do with your money. Every elderly person you meet has an idea as to what you must use your money for”
“Everyone wants to remind you that if you don’t use your money reasonably you might end up broke in future. So basically being a celebrity comes with that pressure,” he concluded.
