Popular highlife musician, Kwabena Kwabena has showered praises on the French ambassador to Ghana. Kwabena Kwabena praised her excellency Anne Sophie Avé for her great contribution to the Ghanaian creative arts industry. Kwabena Kwabena, who couldn’t hide his admiration and appreciation for the French ambassador, claimed that Madame Anne Sophie Avé was the best thing to ever happen to the Ghanaian music industry. The musician was speaking at a ‘Meet and Connect’ event organised in Accra on Tuesday night. Kwabena Kwabena revealed that the French ambassador was the first high-ranking diplomat to get close to the industry and entreated other diplomats to follow in Madam Anne Sophie Avé’s footsteps.
The French ambassador’s involvement with the country’s culture has earned her a local name. The ambassador has added ‘Akosua’ to her name for being born on Sunday. She has added the name to all her social media account handles. The French ambassador has attended many cultural and musical events across the country. In an interview on an Accra-based Radio station, Madame Anne Sophie described Ghana’s culture as unique and stated she enjoyed associating with it. She also dominated headlines last month after admitting she was looking for a Ghanaian man to marry. “If I meet the man of my life in Ghana, I will marry a Ghanaian. Ghanaians have been so sweet and nice to me. If I ever fall in love with any of them, I won’t hesitate to get married to either of them,” the ambassador revealed.
