Vice president Mahamudu Bawumia has revealed what motivated him to enter into politics and aspire to lead the country.
According to Dr Bawumia, the numerous problems engulfing the ordinary Ghana is what motivated him to enter into politics. He further explained that it was for this reason he sided with President Akufo-Addo to help solve the numerous challenges facing the country. The vice president reaffirmed his government’s position on solving the economic challenges.
Speaking on the sidelines of his official visit to the inaugural ceremony of Kenya’s New President, William Ruto, Dr Bawumia noted that the love for solving his country’s problems proceeds every other thing. He further stated that he was doing his possible best to give Ghanaians hope for a better tomorrow.
“My wife also asks me the question, when do you rest? Obviously, I enjoy what I do and always find time to rest, but the problems are so many, and I am trying as much as possible to help my boss, the President, deal with them. Because you inherit them, and you have to find solutions, and for me, that is why I am into politics. Just to make sure you can help people solve problems. So, I always say that I will rest later when we are done with work, but I am okay,” the vice president added.
