One thing that was never clear to many music lovers is why MzVee left Lynx entertainment. But now Richie Mensah has explained his side of the story.
When it comes to the issue of MzVee leaving, we have heard the side of the singer on a couple of occasions. Earlier this year, when asked in an interview, MzVee noted that contrary to assumptions and speculations that she had fallen out with Kidi and Kuami Eugene. According to her, she left the record label because she was tired and wanted to look elsewhere for some time.
“The switch from being who I was in my small home and coming into this big world of show business was draining. So, it got to a time I was just tired. Growing up, I was very timid and kept things to myself. I was afraid. So, if someone did something to me, I kept it to myself. So, I think it was issues stemming from a long period,” MzVee noted.
But speaking for the first time on the subject matter, Richie Mensah, who is the executive director of the record label, described MzVee’s situation as a personal one. According to the Ace music producer, the singer left because due to her depressive state. Richie Mensah added that she declined help as Lynx entertainment were willing to assist her.
“MzVee’s case was a very personal thing. She’s said it several times, I mean. The depression that she was going through really affected a lot of things. So, I didn’t let MzVee go. One thing is, MzVee stopped the music. Do you get me? She left because of the health issues that she was going through. We tried to help her with the health issues, but she wanted to deal with it on her own. Then she built a new team and started again.”
