Sam George Descends On NCA And Ministry Of Communication For Their Lackadaisical Attitude

The member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, Sam Nartey George, has descended heavily on the telecoms and the ministry of communications.

Over the last few weeks, service providers have been limiting the quality of call service in the country to compel people to go out and re-register their SIM cards. Some numbers were barred from making calls, whereas others could barely use the Internet. Many Ghanaians voiced their displeasure with the treatment on social media. Reacting to the comments and agitations on social media, Sam George lashed out at the NCA for what he described as unnecessary reaction and action.

According to the MP, the National Communication Authority (NCA) has been focusing on what he described as minors over the actuals. Sam Nartey George described the services of the NCA and the Telecommunications companies as poor. His comments come on the back of complaints from service users about the quality of service they were receiving. Taking to his Twitter page on Sunday evening, the MP stated that the NCA and the sector minister had adopted a lackadaisical attitude which does not help anyone.

“As a regulator, they are supposed to be protecting the interest of customers. But in this case, we see a regulator who is not interested in customer satisfaction and the quality of service that the telecoms are given. But are rather conniving with the telecoms who are offering us crappy service, so long as the telecoms also keep quiet and go ahead with the illegal directives of the NCA,” Sam George wrote.
