Social Media Goes Wild As Daddy Lumba Storms His Radio Station With His Son

It was recently revealed that legendary Ghanaian musician Charles Kwadwo Fosu, who is popularly known by his stage name as Daddy Lumba, had opened a new radio station.

Many Ghanaians reacted to this news with excitement as many were of the view that Daddy Lumba had made the right investment. And when images of the new studio popped up online, many fans of the legendary musician responded in support of the idea. Daddy Lumba shared a sneak peek of his new studio, which is in its stunning form, before posting another video of himself storming the station.

The legendary musician was accompanied to his new investment by his young song to inspect the space. In the video posted on Daddy Lumba’s YouTube page, he and his son were welcomed into the studios of the FM station by the manager and other staff members who were delighted to see their boss. The station, which is called DL FM and operates on the frequency 106.9, is doing its test transmission in the capital.

Daddy Lumba’s exploits within the Ghanaian music industry cannot be underestimated. For more than two decades, the highlife singer has treated Ghanaians to some superb tunes and has established his name amongst the great. Earlier this year, Afro-pop singer, KiDi begged Daddy Lumba to feature on one of his songs or else he wouldn’t release it.

“Daddy Lumba is my dad’s favourite artist growing up. I would play his songs every morning. I can sing a lot of his songs. I was supposed to meet him at a show at the National Theatre, but I left earlier. I don’t want our conversation to be on the phone. I want to meet him in person and tell him, ‘ Daddy, I want you on a song’. I want to meet the greatest musician,” KiDi said.
